ESSAOUIRA DAY TRIP
We will take off from Marrakech at 08:00 to the coastal city of Essaouira. This ancient Portuguese city shocks with its models of houses with blue shutters and its weapons pointed at the sea. You will stop First at the port which was built in the 18th century and called Tumbuktu as it serves to move Africa towards Europe and America. It’s a bustling place from corner merchants returning to port on their multi-coloured fishing boats.
You will then visit the Skala. Established for military purposes, this site protected the city from assaults through a collection of bronze cannons facing the ocean.
You will continue to explore the Portuguese ramparts and cross the alleys of the medina. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Medina of Essaouira is an example of an 18th century fortified city. Its souks reveal all kinds of handicrafts: carpets, woolen dresses, perfumed objects, jewellery, wooden decorations, etc. After lunch, take a walk on the beach and watch the surf pros practice.

What to Expect
The Ouzoud waterfalls are an organized complex of waterfalls that follow one another through 3 major falls and a few minor falls. From the best to the foot, the chain of waterfalls stretches 330 feet. The bright white of the stirred water contrasts dramatically with the rich reddish sandstone outcrops of the El Abid waterway.
